About Gems for Friends

Gems for Friends is a study of various alternative healing topics. Subjects covered include gemstone therapy, affirmations, feng-shui, and so on. Much of the information on this site is based on my friend Lorraine's experiences, but a variety of other references are also used.

I don't consider myself to be an expert in any of this fields and I'm not a healer. This site is a jumping off point for me, and maybe for you, to learn more about what is out there outside of the standardized medical/healing practice.

So our mission, if you could call it that, is to provide people with the information they need to start learning about these alternative ways of healing and inner growth. 

More personally - My name is Greg Mee and I reside in Spokane, WA, with my lovely wife, two boys, two dogs, and three cats.

I taught Martial Arts for several years (bok-fu,) got married, settled down, and now I maintain this and several other websites.

Lorraine managed this site prior to Feb '03 and a chunk of the material here is hers. I have been adding other references and materials and we both hope you will find use of of the information presented here.

Believe it or not I even have a FaceBook page, which I'll update from time to time, and I'm on a few other sites which you can connect to from the blog.

This site is hosted by Kiosk.ws. I moved to them after the previous host shut down this site for "excessive resource usgae," whatever that means. Since the Kiosk testimonials have comments by people who moved to Kiosk after being shut down by their previous host, for the same reason. I've been with them for awhile now and they seem to be very solid, with good tech support.

All email chores are handled by Aweber.

This site was built using an HTML editor on a WinXP platform, then moved to Dreamweaver MS, and is now mostly built using XsitePro. Here are some thoughts about website software and XsitePro, if you're interested.

Articles, ideas, some automation, moral support, etc. are handled by ASC.
